In 2018, the Turkish passport took 39th place among World’s most powerful passports, allowing visa-free entry to 72 countries, entry to 42 countries with visa obtained on arrival and entry to 7 countries with only e-visa.

Qatar, Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Georgia, Paraguay, Serbia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ukraine and Uruguay.

Among countries, which Turkish citizens can enter by obtaining a visa on arrival there are Kuwait, Bahrain Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Taiwan. E-visa can be obtained for countries such as Australia, UAE and Oman.

If negotiations and international agreements between the European Union and Turkey will result in joining the European Union by Turkey, Turkish citizens will have the right to visit European countries visa-free and travel easily between Schengen countries.
